Bali, Indonesia
Destination: Bali, Indonesia Date: 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th May? 2007 I knew that there is a place called Bali since my childhood. Long time ago traders from my province (Orissa, India) used to trade handicrafts and other stuffs at Bali. To commemorate those old ties, we organize Bali Jatra (Bali festival) once a year at Cuttack (the old capital of my province, which was the center of trade and politics till 50 years ago). And when finally I decided to make a trip to Bali it was like a dream come true.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of Malaysia. It is often abbreviated to KL. KL is relatively young as a city and traces its origin to 1850s. In Bahasa Malayu, Kuala Lumpur means ?muddy confluence?. Kuala Lumpur was the location of tin mines in 1850s and KL?s journey from tin mines to a modern and vibrant metropolis is astounding that rivals any modern city in the world. During the golden days of miraculous economic development in late 90?s, KL forced itself in to prominence by building the tallest skyscraper in the world, Petronas Twin Tower. This engineering marvel along with many other attractions in and around KL makes KL one of the best locations in Malaysia to visit.

Round-the-world
My Round the world trip covered 4 continents in approximately 18 days. It was started in Melbourne, from where it took me to USA. After 7 days stay at USA, I flew off to India, via Frankfurt. Once again after 6 days stopover in India, I started the last leg of my journey back to Melbourne via Singapore. In 18days, I covered almost 30,000 miles, took some photos and enjoyed everything I?d come across.

Kuching trip was my first solo photographic trip. My passion for travelling and meeting strangers pulled me out of Penang. On top of it, my good friend John Teng helped me a lot in arranging logistics.
